Job Title: Holiday Club Play Worker

As an Activity Instructor you will be assigned to lead a variety of different arts and crafts activities; adapting your skills and experience to work with different age ranges throughout a season. Reporting directly to the Site Manager, responsibilities are described as follows: • Adhere to processes and procedures whilst the children in your care continually have a fun, stimulating and safe time • Plan and deliver a variety of activities with structure and enthusiasm; encouraging maximum participation whilst following Ofsted EYFS guidelines where appropriate • Assisting Site Manager in giving feedback to parents/guardians on observations • Deliver a structured and enjoyable activity period during drop off and pick up time • You will also be required to support other staff in planning and running sessions • Manage the exchange of all relevant information to the Site Manager, on the children. • As a Activity/Play Instructor our aim would be to utilise you for your strengths and experiences for majority of the time you are working on camp. There will however be occasions when we ask you to assist in other areas, on these occasions we require flexibility and co-operation at all times. • Additional duties will include registration, cleaning and kit/equipment maintenance Requirements: • Ideally educated to a minimum of Level 2 in Early Years or studying towards a creative and/or teaching/childcare qualification • Previous experience working with children aged 3 to 11 years old • Enthusiastic and organised with excellent communication skills and good use of initiative • Flexible, team player willing to take on various tasks as required • Experience of cooking and running cooking classes is beneficial • First Aid Certified applicants are preferred but training is available Due to Energy Kidz being on the Early Years Register clearance of a responsible person is required by Ofsted. This may involve a one off process of completing some paperwork and a suitable person’s interview. You will be guided and supported by Head Office through this procedure. We will also need 2 reference, proof of all qualifications/training and Energy kidz will be required to take out a CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) for you. ‘Energy Kidz is committed to safe practice in recruitment and selection that includes consideration of issues to do with child protection, safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people.’
